The waters around the islands of Zanzibar boast some of the best big game and deep-sea fishing in the world. The Pemba Channel between Zanzibar and Pemba islands, and around Mafia Island have produced record catches of barracuda, kingfish, blue marlin, dorado, wahoo, sailfish and billfish.

There are numerous fishing operators on the islands, but it would be a wise to check out their boat, equipment and what they are offering before agreeing a charter.

Prices will vary between boats, the length of trip and the package they offer.
· A half-day trip (+/- 6 hours) including crew, equipment, lunch and drinks will cost USD450 to USD500 per boat.
· A full-day trip (9 to 10 hours) including crew, equipment, lunch and drinks will cost USD650 to USD700 per boat.

Ask your IslandsOnly consultant for the details of an operator near your hotel.
